Terms and Conditions – The Referral HQ
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by The Referral HQ (“We”, “Us”, “Our”). By booking or participating in our services, You (“You”, “Your”, “Participant”, or “Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
1.1 We provide a range of services including training programmes, 1:1 coaching, group coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements (“Services”).
1.2 The scope of Services, fees, and any specific conditions will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
1.3 We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to Service content, delivery method, trainers, or schedule without materially altering the nature of the Services provided.
1.4 We may engage third-party trainers, facilitators, or speakers to deliver parts of the Services. This shall not affect Our obligations under these Terms.
2. Fees and Payment
2.1 Fees for Services will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
2.2 Unless otherwise agreed, all Fees must be paid in full in advance of delivery.
2.3 Where invoicing terms are agreed, invoices are payable within 14 calendar days of issue and in any case must be settled before the Service commences.
2.4 For UK residents, all Fees are payable in GBP (unless otherwise agreed in writing). For US and overseas residents, Fees are payable in USD.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 Cancellation and refund policies vary depending on the Service booked and are set out in Part B – Service-Specific Terms.
3.2 If You fail to attend a booked Service (in whole or in part), no refund will be given unless otherwise stated in the Service-Specific Terms.
3.3 If We are required to cancel or postpone a Service, You will be offered either a refund or a transfer to a future Service. Our liability is limited to the refund of Fees paid.
4. Participant and Client Responsibilities
4.1 You are expected to participate actively in Services, complete any agreed pre-work or assignments, and attend scheduled sessions.
4.2 You are responsible for ensuring You have appropriate technology, internet access, and a suitable environment to participate fully in online Services.
4.3 You agree not to share materials, recordings, or access links with anyone outside the Service without Our prior written consent.
4.4 You warrant that You meet any eligibility criteria communicated for a Service. You acknowledge that all Services are educational in nature and that You remain solely responsible for how You apply the content in Your professional practice.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All content, materials, and resources are owned by or licensed to Us.
5.2 You may use the materials for Your own personal and professional development but may not copy, distribute, publish, or otherwise exploit them for commercial purposes.
5.3 Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance or Participant access. Recordings are for private use only and may not be copied, distributed, or shared externally.
6. Confidentiality
6.1 Both parties agree to keep confidential any information disclosed during the Services that is not in the public domain.
6.2 You agree to respect the confidentiality of other Participants and not share their personal or business information outside the Service.
7. Behaviour and Conduct
7.1 You agree to conduct Yourself professionally and respectfully during all Services.
7.2 We reserve the right to remove any Participant from a Service, without refund, where their behaviour is deemed disruptive, inappropriate, or otherwise detrimental.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Services are provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific business, financial, or professional outcomes.
8.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Our total liability to You, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the total Fee paid by You.
8.3 We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, including but not limited to loss of profits, business, or goodwill.
9. Force Majeure
9.1 Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond that party’s reasonable control (“Force Majeure”).
9.2 Where possible, the affected Services will be rescheduled, but no refund will be due.
10. Data Protection
10.1 We will process Your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
10.2 Our Privacy Policy (provided separately) sets out how Your data will be used.
11. General
11.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between You and Us in relation to the Services.
11.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
11.3 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.4 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales or the US, depending on where the Client resides.
Part B – Service-Specific Terms
B1. 90-Day Training Programme
B1.1 The Programme is a 71-day referral-based training course designed to support financial advisers in building confidence, improving messaging, identifying clients, and generating new business.
B1.2 We reserve the right to change the advertised start date of the Programme by providing You with at least 7 calendar days’ notice. In such circumstances, no refund will be due, and Your booking will automatically transfer to the revised date.
B1.3 Full payment of the Fee is required no later than 14 calendar days prior to the Programme start date.
B1.4 Cancellations and refunds will be handled as follows:

More than 48 hours before Programme start: 100% refund

Less than 48 hours before Programme start: 75% refund
B1.5 If You fail to attend (in whole or in part), no refund will be given.
Corporate and Group Bookings
B1.6 Where a company, partnership, or organisation (“Client”) purchases Programme places on behalf of multiple Participants, the Client shall be responsible for ensuring that all Participants are aware of and comply with these Terms.
B1.7 Substitutions:

A Client may substitute a Participant with another individual up to 7 calendar days before the Programme start date, provided that the substitute meets any stated eligibility criteria.
No substitutions will be accepted less than 7 calendar days before the Programme start date.
B1.8 Transfers: A Client may request to transfer a Participant’s booking to a future Programme with at least 14 calendar days’ written notice. Transfers are at Our discretion and may be subject to an administration fee.
B1.9 Group discounts, where applicable, must be agreed in writing at the time of booking and cannot be applied retrospectively.
B2. 1:1 and Group Coaching
B2.1 Coaching sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
B2.2 Unless otherwise agreed, MONTHLY coaching fees must be paid in full before the first session.
B2.3 Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. Sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice may be rescheduled at Our discretion.
B2.4 Coaching is provided for guidance and support purposes only. Outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
B3. Speaking Engagements and Workshops
B3.1 Speaking engagements and workshops will be confirmed in writing, including date, duration, topic, and fees.
B3.2 A deposit of 50% of the agreed fee is payable upon booking, with the balance due no later than 14 calendar days after the event along with expenses for travel, accommodation and food.
B3.3 Cancellations by the Client within 28 days of the event will result in the deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations within 14 days of the event will result in the full fee being payable.
B3.4 If We are required to cancel, any fees paid will be refunded in full.

The Referral HQ is a trading style of Matt Anderson International LLC. Matt Anderson International LLC (US) and Paul Golledge Consulting Ltd (UK) work in collaboration to deliver services provided by The Referral HQ.
